Lake Tahoe
From Travel Guide Wiki
Lake Tahoe is located in Nevada and California. The lake is about 70 miles around. Mountains surround the lake, and it's filled with snow during the winter. It's a great resort for skiing, and sledding in winter. One of the ski resorts, Heavenly, is right on the California/Nevada border so skiers can ski across the state border. Lake Tahoe is elevated thousands of feet above sea level, so people get sunburnt a lot quicker.
[edit] Transportation
The nearest airport from any part of Lake Tahoe is Reno-Tahoe International Airport in Reno, Nevada [1].
Lake Tahoe is easily accessible by road from Interstate 80, US Route 395 and US Route 50.
